'GTA Online' Biker DLC release date rumors: DLC release pushed back to September? Halloween update in the offing?
Previously leaked information claimed that the "GTA Online" Biker downloadable content (DLC) will be released around the second week of August, and fans who eagerly anticipated the launch were disappointed when Rockstar Games failed to deliver. Now, there are talks the release has been pushed back to September.
According to reports, some data miners discovered strings of code mentioning the "GTA V Biker" DLC. Yibada claims Rockstar Games is yet to confirm the development of the new "GTA Online" DLC, but tipsters who discovered the code are confident that it will soon be released, albeit the delay in launch date.
As for the delay in the "GTA Online" Biker DLC, a purported Rockstar Games insider with Twitter handle Yan2295 (@Yan2295) revealed via a tweet that there were technical glitches on the development front that prompted the company to delay the Biker DLC release. The DLC, according to Yan2295, will be released in September instead.
Some fans waiting for the DLC exchanged nasty words with the supposed insider, but with the discovery of the strings mentioned earlier corroborating Yan2295's reveal, it's highly likely that the insider could indeed be a reliable source of "GTA Online" Biker DLC news.
Express.co.uk reports that Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two that publishes "Grand Theft Auto V Online", has earlier confirmed that there will be "innovative offerings" this year through DLCs and new game modes. Apparently, these alleged offerings are meant to set the tone until the company is ready to announce "GTA 6," the next installment in the "Grand Theft Auto" series, which is rumored to be set in vintage London and due for release in 2018 or 2020.
Meanwhile, another tipster named MrBossFTW used his YouTube channel to explain the delayed release of "GTA Online" Biker DLC, saying the professed September release is to move the DLC's launch closer to the Halloween-themed DLC that Rockstar Games always release between the months of October and November.
He went on to say that since Rockstar Games' releases usually fall on a Tuesday, fans of "GTA V Online" should mark all Tuesdays of September in their calendars.
All these should be taken with a grain of salt seeing as Rockstar is yet to comment on these reports. In the meantime, stay tuned for more "GTA Online" Biker DLC news and updates.
