When the current installment of the first-person shooter video game, "Halo" was released in October 2015, many players expected another sequel to arrive in 2016. What's interesting about "Halo 6" is that it will be available for both the Xbox One and PC platform.

The last three game titles of the franchise have been made exclusive for Xbox consoles. If rumors prove to be true, this will allow fans to enjoy the game on their Windows PC. The rumor emerged after Microsoft revealed its plan to make all video games they developed to be available for both Xbox and PC. In a report by Ecumenical News, Microsoft's declaration started with the release of the new game, "Fable Legends." The game was supposed to be exclusive for Xbox One; however, Microsoft created another version of the title for Windows PC. This project is said to be dubbed as "Project Helix," while the new titles that are currently in development are given a codename, "Scorpio."

Meanwhile, fans who have been waiting for the game developer 343 Industries to provide significant details with regard to the new installment might get some information anytime soon, Counsel Heal reported. As of the moment, both Microsoft and the game developer have yet to give "Halo" fans concrete details regarding its development and release date. Frank O'Connor, the development director of the series, has already revealed their plan to create games that will be compatible with the current version of the Windows operating system. The company has also already confirmed that the upcoming "Halo Wars 2" will be available for both Xbox One and PC.

Meanwhile, "Halo" fans may have to wait a little longer before the company releases the sixth installment of the game. As of the moment, they will have to enjoy the current game title, which has recently received its new update called, "Hog Wild."
