'Halt and Catch Fire' season 3 episode 7 spoilers: Donna kicks partner out; Cameron may team up with Joe
With only three episodes left in its third season, "Halt and Catch Fire" have really been upping the conflict among its four key players. While hope for Donna (Kerry Bishé) and Cameron's (Mackenzie Davis) reconciliation have dimmed, former partners Joe (Lee Pace) and Gordon (Scoot McNairy) may have just gotten back in each other's good graces.
On this note, the next episodes of "Halt and Catch Fire" could be all about consequences, successes, and failures.
After Mutiny co-founders Donna and Cameron's shaky relationship finally crumbled apart following the falling out they had in episode 7, the next episode may show whose plan had been right all along. Donna wanted to take their company public right away while interest in it was still high. Cameron, on the other hand, wanted them to bid their time and develop Mutiny into a sustainable level first.
When Donna won, it was not only her who betrayed Cameron, but the three other members of the board — Bos (Toby Huss), Diane (Annabeth Gish), and Gordon, the three people she thought she could trust the most. The devastation Cameron felt when the three of them raised their hands in favor of Donna's plan had been evident, and the fallen Mutiny co-founder may either find herself spiraling deeper into her pain, or find the courage to step up and take her company back.
Meanwhile, Joe and Gordon have agreed to partner up yet again, with Joe getting 49% of the company's profit as a silent partner. However, Joe's renewed partnership with Gordon may not last a secret for long since Joe's brilliant engineer, Ryan (Manish Dayal) may have just attracted unnecessary attention to themselves when he released the Macmillan Utility's codes to the public as an act of rebellion.
In episode 8 of "Halt and Catch Fire" season 3, Donna, Bos and Diane will be preparing an official statement about Cameron's exit from Mutiny, as shown in this official preview.
A brief synopsis on TV Guide also reveals that the three of them will take to the road in an effort to build support for Mutiny. Joe will also be asking Cameron for a favor. Could this open up the possibility of Cameron teaming up with Joe and Gordon to challenge Mutiny?
"Halt and Catch Fire" airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on AMC.
