While the "Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA" sequel titled "Future Tone" was already released in Japan earlier this year, fans in North America and Europe have to wait until January 2017 to get their hands on the arcade rhythm game by Sega. In anticipation of its arrival, some tips and tricks have already been released to help gamers out in the beginning stages.

Players should expect that they will not conquer "Future Tone" immediately but they should not be discouraged by this. During the first few tries, it is important for players to familiarize themselves with the different buttons to press during each song.

There are five different levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, Extreme, and Extra Extreme. Players are advised to play the easier levels first before challenging themselves. Speed and energy in the game is slightly different from past games. As always, players will unlock more songs the more they play. They also get to unlock points that can be used for modules and items.

Gameplay is relatively the same compared to the handheld version with just a few notable changes. First, there will be a bonus for when players hold a button for a prolonged period of time when the game asks to hold a certain note. Also, multiple buttons can be pressed at the same time and the game can register up to all four buttons.

Players can expect more than 220 tracks and 340 different modules, as well as more expressions, stages and costumes.

"Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone" will be released for PlayStation 4 on Jan. 10, 2017. It will be free on the PlayStation Store and comes with two songs. If players enjoy sampling the game, they can proceed to purchasing the song packs.

"Future Tone" will have two packs upon release: "Future Sound" that includes 120 tracks from the "Project DIVA" series and "Colorful Tone" with 100 songs from the arcade version and the "Project Mirai" series. Both will be priced at $29.99, but players have the option to purchase both via a bundle priced at $53.99.
