'Horizon Zero Dawn' release date, news: action RPG won't have microtransactions; PS4 bundle announced for Europe

With only a little over a month left before its release, more details about the "Horizon Zero Dawn" are coming to light. Anticipation for the upcoming action role-playing video game is already at an all-time high given its innovative and intriguing premise as well as the vast open world environment that will be featured in the forthcoming title.

Just recently, developer Guerilla Games revealed details suggesting that gamers will have a level playing field as everyone will have access to the same content. The game developer announced on their official Twitter account that "Horizon Zero Dawn" will not have microtransactions. Earlier this month, game director Mathijs de Jonge also said that they don't have plans to release a Season Pass just yet.

de Jonge also added that they intend for the forthcoming single-player video game to have 1080p resolution and a frame rate of 30 frames per second (fps) during gameplay.

This revelation will surely please players of the upcoming game as they will not be encumbered by paid content.

In other news, the European PlayStation Blog has announced that it will be offering a "Horizon Zero Dawn" bundle that will be available on March 1, the same day the game launches in Europe. The bundle includes the PlayStation 4 (PS4) Slim with 1 TB of storage, a Dualshock 4 wireless controller, a a physical copy of "Horizon Zero Dawn" and a three-month subscription to PlayStation Plus.

There was no mention of a bundle for the PS4 Pro. Likewise, there is no announcement yet on whether this particular bundle will be available for North American consumers as well.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" follows the protagonist — Aloy, a young hunter and archer who must make her way through a post-apocalyptic world that is ruled by robot dinosaurs called the Machines. The game will be released in North America on Feb. 28 exclusively for the PS4.
