'How to Get Away with Murder' season 3 spoilers news: Laurel's baby daddy to be revealed in midseason premiere

Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) had been revealed as the person under the sheet in the midseason finale of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3, but another mystery remains as the identity of Laurel Castillo's (Karla Souza) baby daddy is still unknown.

In episode 4, titled "Don't Tell Annalise," viewers of the legal drama thriller found out that Laurel was inside Annalise Keating's (Viola Davis) house when it exploded. As the doctors try to rescue her, Wes' ex-girlfriend Meggy Travers (Corbin Reid) found out through her medical reports that she is actually pregnant.

However, none of Laurel's friends knew about her condition. They also have no idea that Wes and Laurel already started dating behind their back.

The first half of season 3 ended without revealing the identity of Laurel's baby daddy. But executive producer Pete Nowalk told TVLine that the mystery will be solved as soon as the series returns early next year. "We'll get an answer to who the baby daddy is in the first episode back," Nowalk stated.

It can be speculated that Wes could be the father of Laurel's unborn child, since the two of them had been together in the show for a time. But there could also be a possibility that Laurel's ex Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) might also end up to be the baby's father since he also returned several weeks prior to the fire.

The executive producer also teased that the character's pregnancy will be discussed in the show's upcoming episodes. "The grappling is really true for the character, as you'll see," he added. "It's part of Laurel's story in the back half of the season."

It will also be interesting to see how Laurel will deal with Wes' death, since she has been there for him since the start of the season.
