HTC One (M8) vs Galaxy Note 4 Comparison: Specs, Features Review - Unequal Size But Premium Devices

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and HTC One (M8) may not be equals when it comes to size, but both stand out as premium devices when pitted against each other.

When it comes to design, the HTC One (M8) has a premium full aluminum body design. The Note 4, on the other hand, has a metallic band running along its edges and has a faux leather back panel. The Note 4 comes with an S Pen stylus which the HTC One (M8) does not have. The Note 4 also has twice the amount of pressure sensitivity compared to the earlier version.

Comparing device size, the Note 4 is a true phablet which is bigger and heavier than the HTC One (M8). This size difference translates to the Note 4 having a bigger Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a pixel density of 515 pixels per inch. The HTC One (M8) has a 5.0-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch.

Coming to platforms, the HTC One (M8) has a Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 chipset along with a quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU in the US and EMEA, and a 2.5 GHz version in Asia and China. Added to this is an Adreno 330 GPU. Compared to this, the Note 4 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. Onboard the HTC One (M8) is 2GB of RAM while the Note 4 has 3 GB.

In terms of their cameras, the Note 4 has a superior 16 megapixel camera at its rear while the HTC One (M8) comes with a 4 megapixel "ultrapixel" camera. Both devices have microSD slots which can be used to expand their external memory up to 128 GB.

Finally, coming to price, the 32 GB Note 4 is priced at $696.22 on Amazon without any contract while the 32 GB HTC One (M8) is priced at $599.99 without any contract.
