The HTC One M9 has quickly emerged as one of the most beautiful smartphones in the market. In this aspect, it outranks the Droid Turbo. But in terms of durability and battery life, the Droid Turbo is superior to the HTC One M9.
Design
Going by looks alone, there is no question that the HTC One M9 is the better-looking device as its body is crafted from hand-polished aluminum with beautifully rounded edges. Coming to colors, it offers a gold and silver combination as well as gold, silver, gun metal and a pink versions. The Droid Turbo is designed to be a muscular phone. Made from plastic with a metal edge, it has capacitive keys and sharp corners. In terms of colors, the Droid Turbo only offers red and black. Its back panel is either covered with Kevlar or ballistic nylon.
Display
Comparing displays, the Droid Turbo has a bigger and better quality version, thanks to its Super AMOLED screen which measures 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 565 pixels per inch. As for the HTC One M9, it has a super LCD3 screen measuring 5.0 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 441pixels per inch.
Specs
When it comes to specs, the One M9 quickly pulls ahead as it has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, a CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2 GHz and an Adreno 430 GPU. On the Droid Turbo is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a Krait 450 CPU with four cores clocked at 2.7 GHz and an Adreno 420 GPU.
Memory
There is a big difference when it comes to memory slots as the One M9 comes with a slot that allows for the addition of up to 128 GB of external storage. The Droid Turbo does not have a slot. In terms of RAM, both have 3 GB each.
Battery
In terms of battery life, the Droid Turbo is hard to beat as it comes with a 3900 mAh battery which can last for two days. In comparison, the 2840 mAh battery on the One M9 can only last for a day.
Price
The Droid Turbo costs $149 with a two-year contract, while the HTC One M9 is priced at $199 with a similar contract.
