HTC One M9 vs Mi Note Specs Comparison: Features, Price Review - One M9 Has Better Specs and Design
The One M9, HTC's latest flagship, comes with a superb combination of top-notch specs and beautiful design. In terms of competition, however, the device will not have to look far as the new Mi Note from Xiaomi is a lovely phablet with a budget price.
Design
The Mi Note comes with a premium aluminum frame and curved Gorilla Glass 3 on its front and back. The glass on its back has a bigger curve than the version on its front. As for the One M9, it has a hand-polished curved metal body. Buyers can select from four body color versions: silver and gold, gold, pink, and gun metal grey.
Display
The Mi Note and the One M9 are almost equal display-wise and they only differ when it comes to size. The Mi Note has a slightly bigger IPS LCD screen measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 386 pixels per inch. The One M9 has a smaller super LCD3 screen measuring 5.0 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 441 pixels per inch.
Specs
Even though the One M9 and the Mi Note were released only a few months apart, the difference between them is big when it comes to specs. The One M9 has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, along with a CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2 GHz and an Adreno 430 GPU. As for the Mi Note, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, a Krait 400 CPU with four cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU.
Memory
Comparing their memory slots, the slot on the One M9 can be used to add up to 128 GB of additional storage. The Mi Note does not have a slot. As for RAM, both devices come with 3 GB.
Price
The 32 GB HTC One M9 could cost around $649 in its unlocked state. The 16 GB version of the Mi Note could cost $399 without a contract.
