Huawei Mate 9 release date, specs news: Mate 8 successor to carry HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor, dual rear camera?
Chinese tech manufacturer, Huawei has been getting a lot of attention lately with their awesome smartphone releases. Previous reports suggested that the company will hold a press conference on Sept. 1 at the IFA event, in which it will unveil its next smartphone.
According to the latest reports, Huawei might reveal the successor of its highly regarded Mate 8, which was released late last year. There are speculations all over the internet saying that the company is currently working on the new Mate 9; however, no official reports coming from the company with regard to its development and release date.
Despite the continued silence from Huawei, fans and critics have already shared their predictions on the upcoming smartphone. According to reports, the device will carry a whopping 5.9-inch screen with 1080p display technology. It will run on HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM. There are also reports suggesting that the handset will come out with a 6 GB RAM.
The device will also carry a 65 GB internal storage capacity. It is yet to be known if the smartphone will have an expanded storage via microSD.
There are also rumors suggesting that the Huawei Mate 9 will arrive with a dual rear camera system, which is the same technology used in the current Huawei P9.
A recent benchmark sighting of the smartphone says that the rear camera will be at 12 MP; however, there are rumors circulating saying that it may carry a whopping 20 MP snapper.
Meanwhile, it is speculated that the upcoming Huawei Mate 9 will run on Google's new operating system, Android Nougat or Android N. However, this claim has to be confirmed especially that the highly anticipated software has yet to be released.
As of the moment, fans will have to wait for the announcement from Huawei.
