Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 Movie Cast News: Josh Hutcherson Reveals What He Will Miss at Climax
Josh Hutcherson has suddenly and quite unexpectedly gained international stardom after playing the part of Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games trilogy, one of the biggest movie franchises in Hollywood.
It all started with the release of the "The Hunger Games," one of the top-grossing movies in 2012, which is based on the best-selling novel of Suzanne Collins.
With the next two movies – "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" – his star grew even brighter.
Having been involved in the franchise for more than three years, Hutcherson has grown close to his co-actors and other movie workers, whom he now regards as his "family."
In a recent interview by ABC News, Hutcherson said he still sees them on a regular basis, pointing out that their closeness with each other is what he would miss the most. He said while filming, "you are with this group of people 12 hours a day for months and now, it is all coming to an end." The last movie of the franchise, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" will be shown in November 2015.
Although he would miss their company, Hutcherson said it seems everyone is ready to move on to the next phase of their lives and careers.
What he has to contend with being part of the series is the popularity that he suddenly gained. Almost every day he went out, he said there would be some people that would recognize him and ask for a photo. For someone who is not used to the attention, he said he just learned to live with it, and it isn't all that bad. It is part of making movies, which he loves to do.
He said his fans are usually very young, so he joked that if he needed to get away, he would go to places where the people are above a certain age. "I hang out with old people basically," he said, laughing, during the ABC interview. "I go to retirement homes, Denny's, bingo parlors, it's great! That's where I hang out these days."
He was then asked: What would he not miss and what he would be very glad to be rid of?
"I'm excited to shed the blonde hair!" he exclaimed. "That's the thing that I was like, 'Get out of here!' Having to do touch ups all the time and get my hair re-dyed and bleached, was not my thing at all."
