The long-running Japanese manga and anime series, "Hunter X Hunter," is currently on hiatus and fans are still waiting for chapter 361, which was first announced to be back by Feb. 2017. Furthermore, reports also claim that the hiatus is indefinite.

The reason for the hiatus is because the creator, Yoshihiro Togashi, is taking time off due to health reasons. Reports, however, claim that the production team found new writers to work on the series, but fans are assured that Togashi is still a part of the team.

However, new reports claim that Togashi is reportedly regaining his health, and that he is planning to create a new story arc for the next "Hunter X Hunter" chapter.

The speculation is that the new story arc will center on Gon's father, Gin. It is also rumored that Gon's story arc is ending upon the release of its new chapters.

Other reports, however, claim that Togashi's indefinite absence is taking a toll on the other writers. This apparently pushed the team to seek help from "Tokyo Ghoul" creator Sui Ishida.

This sparked further speculations that Togashi may be dropped from the "Hunter X Hunter" production team, but no confirmation had been so far announced yet.

Ishida, on the other hand, is seen to be a good substitute for Togashi as the creator also previously expressed his admiration for the manga, and had even created his own version for the anti-hero, Hisoka.

Several reports also claim that the chances of Ishida helping the "Hunter X Hunter" team are slim as the creator is also busy with his own series, "Tokyo Ghoul," the fans of which are also impatiently awaiting the release of a new chapter and a new season for its anime adaptation.

Fans of "Hunter X Hunter" are still positive that the manga will release chapter 361 soon enough as this is not exactly the first time that the series went into a hiatus. It already underwent frequent hiatus since the year 2006.
