'Injustice 2' release date, news, rumors: PC version coming up? PS4, Xbox One version comes out March 2017
NetherRealm Studios has yet to reveal the major details regarding the upcoming fighting video game sequel, "Injustice 2." The first "Injustice" game was very popular upon its release, featuring several superheroes and villains from DC Comics' "Injustice: Gods Among Us."
As of the meantime, it is expected that "Injustice 2" will be released in March 2017, Game Rant reported. However, there is still uncertainty if the PC version of the sequel will be released next year as well. It is possible that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of "Injustice 2" will arrive early 2017, with the PC version coming up shortly.
"Injustice" game director Ed Boon did not confirm that a PC version for "Injustice 2" will indeed arrive, although he did mention during the recently concluded SDDCC 2016 event that the game being playable on the PC platform is "pretty likely," according to WCCF Tech. For now, the release date of the "Injustice 2" PC version is still up in the air.
Meanwhile, more DC characters are rumored to join the ever growing roster of fighters in "Injustice 2." Aside from the exciting gameplay contents, the fans should also watch out for the popular comic book heroes and villains that will spice up the game. It is rumored that a very popular DC villain, Ra's al Ghul, will wreak havoc in "Injustice 2." According to Event Hubs, the infamous Ra's al Ghul will finally become a playable character in the sequel, further exciting the fans as the character has played a huge part in other DC media, like "The Dark Knight" film series and the DC comic-based TV series "Legends of Tomorrow" and "Arrow."
According to Yibada , the most recent announcement trailer for "Injustice 2" may have already featured Ra's al Ghul, but only as a voice-over narrating the events in the trailer. Also, Ra's al Ghul's role in the video game might be quite different compared to his previous appearances in movies and television. Ra's al Ghul is rumored to be more of an ally to Batman rather than an enemy, working with the latter to defeat Superman.
