'Injustice 2' release date, trailer: Premiere Skins for Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions revealed

NetherRealm dropped more details about the contents of "Injustice 2" Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions.

Based on the preorder page for the upcoming sequel of the 2013-released "Injustice: Gods Among Us," more unannounced DC Comics characters will be included as part of the alternate "Premiere Skins" for some of the game's playable characters.

The page revealed that Supergirl can use the Power Girl skin in the "Injustice 2" Digital Deluxe Edition which will be sold for $79.99 on GameStop and PlayStation Store. It will also come with three downloadable fighters upon release, as well as an exclusive Defender Shader that players can use to customize their gears.

On the other hand, the physical and digital versions of the "Injustice 2" Ultimate Edition will include three premiere skins for Supergirl, Green Lantern and The Flash. This edition, which can be purchased for $99.99, will also come with nine DLC fighters as well as the Destroyer and Defender Shader packs.

The Supergirl skin is reportedly the same as the one included in the Deluxe edition, while the skin for Green Lantern will make the character look like the John Steward version. Meanwhile, there are no details yet regarding the skin for The Flash at the moment.

"Injustice 2" will center on the events that happen five years after the High Councilor was defeated by Batman. The Caped Crusader and his friends will reportedly try to restore the order within the society while defending themselves from the attacks of Superman's followers who are plotting to bring him back to power. However, Batman will also have his hands full with another set of enemies known as The Society, who also plans to rule the world.

Warner Bros. and NetherRealms are planning to release the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16, while the iOS and Android versions are expected to be released soon.
