Intel Kaby Lake for Apple MacBook Pro, iMac news, specs: Seventh generation of Intel Core processors fit for Apple Mac devices

Intel debuted their new seventh generation Intel Core processors known as Kaby Lake, which could support Apple MacBook Pro and Mac mini devices.

Intel introduced their new 7th Gen Intel Core processor family, known as the Kaby Lake series, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Kaby Lake had its low-power Y-Series and U-Series introduced to the market in August 2016, but the lineup that was unveiled at the CES were designed to be carried by Apple Mac devices.

According to Macrumors, the 28-watt U-Series chips could be used for the 13-inch MacBook Pros and a future update, while the 45-watt H-Series is fit for an enhanced 15-inch MacBook Pro. Of the three, the 15-inch MacBook Pro would be using the 7920HQ.

The 28-watt U-Series chips are expected to also be applicable to a future Mac mini update since it carries the same processors as the13-inch MacBook Pro.

The 27-inch iMac should be jumping to the S-Series desktop chips from its current Skylake chips. Unfortunately for the smaller 21.5-inch iMac, Intel did not release a Kaby Lake processor fit for its upgrades.

These seventh generation Intel Core processors are expected to bring an enhanced performance of speed, security, productivity, responsiveness, and bring more immersive experiences.

Intel's new processors can enhance the productivity performance of gaming notebooks by up to 20 percent and desktop computers by 25 percent. If there is a presence of a 4K and 360-degree content, the productivity performance of notebooks and desktops elevates to 65 percent and 35 percent, respectively.

Security is also improved by the 7th Gen Intel Core processors, along with the Intel Xeon processors, by its hardware-enhanced security and two-factor authentication process. It eliminates the inconvenience of remembering patterns and passwords by presenting a touch-to-pay function.

The 7th Gen Intel Core processors also upgrade the VR and gaming features by making the objects look more real, and it enhances the media engine by making movies and TV shows available in 4K UHD.
