iOS 10 jailbreak Pangu release date news: software from Chinese group not coming? no jailbreak from Luca Todesco too
The iOS 10 jailbreak from Pangu is still nowhere to be seen five months after the China-based jailbreak development team announced it.
This had many believing that there will no longer be a public jailbreak to use for the iOS 10. Pangu is also running out of time as Apple continues to update their mobile operating system.
The Cupertino-based company just rolled out the fifth and final beta for the iOS 10.2, which should be released in its final form by next week.
With this fast development, Pangu is reportedly unable to catch up. The group is yet to provide an update on their project and what version they are working on.
Jailbreak fans are afraid that Pangu will come out with the iOS 10 jailbreak too late for the majority or all of jailbreakers to be able to take advantage of it.
This was the case with the release of the iOS 9.1 jailbreak, which arrived when the iOS 9.3 was the center of attraction. Many users updated to it already, which led to only a few people actually being able to utilize the jailbreak.
It looks like this is what is happening with the iOS 10 jailbreak as well. Pangu's silence about it only makes fans more worried about it.
Apple has been adding exciting and irresistible tweaks and features in its software updates including brand new emojis, which could lead to users updating.
Those who are waiting for the iOS 10 jailbreak are still on iOS 9.3 or updated versions of it at this point. When the jailbreak software arrives, it could be that not many will be waiting for it.
Italian developer Luca Todesco, who managed to put together working jailbreak tools for the iOS 10, also clarified that he is not releasing a jailbreak software as reports are suggesting.
Interestingly, there is also word that Pangu is just waiting for the iOS 10.2 to drop before they release the iOS 10 jailbreak. These rumors remain unfounded and are not expected to come to fruition.
