iOS 10 release date, features news 2016: Software update will feature several upgrades for many Apple devices
Following the official launching of the new Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the company is said to be gearing up for the upcoming release of its new operating systems—iOS 10 and watchOS 3. According to reports, the 2 highly anticipate software will both arrive on Sept. 13.
The new operating systems will be rolled out three days before the official release date of the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on Sept. 16. According to a report by Mac Rumors, the Cupertino-based company will also be releasing the new macOS Sierra, which is expected to happen on Sept. 20. Evidently, Apple is going to have a busy month of September.
The new iOS 10 operating system is said to be the biggest update to Apple's mobile OS. It is expected to bring several features including an update to the popular Apple digital assistant, Siri. According to a report by The Verge, the update will give Siri the ability to transcribe voicemails and write text messages. Many fans are definitely excited for all the updates and upgrades Apple is currently rolling out right now.
According to the publication, the new iOS 10 update will allow Apple users to copy images or text from their iPhone smartphones and immediately paste them to their Mac. Another feature includes the use of widgets in iOS lock screen. It will certainly make the life of Apple users a little easier.
Meanwhile, in a report by Phone Arena, some Apple device will not be able to download the new iOS 10 update including the iPhone 4s. Apple iPhone smartphone models from 5 up to iPhone 7 Plus are the only ones getting the update. On the other hand, several iPad tablets will also be getting the updates including the iPad Mini models, iPad Air and iPad Pro. The 6th gen iPod Touch will also be allowed to download the update.
