iPad Air 3 release date, specs news, update: Coming out in March 2017?
Apple remains quiet about the release of the rumored iPad Air 3. Until now, there is no word on when the device will come out.
There are several rumors though suggesting that the device will be making its debut sometime next year. There is no specific date but it's predicted to launch around March 2017. It was initially expected to be out last September but no announcement of the model came.
The device was a no-show during the big unveiling of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. Several fans were anticipating the tablet but they were dismayed when it didn't arrive. Some continue to be optimistic but others are wondering if the device will ever come around.
Apple has not made any comments regarding the device but reports found some hints on the possible coming of the device. Fans noticed that Apple made some price drops to the iPad Air 2. It is said that devices' prices go down when a company is about to release upgraded versions. Rumor has it that some U.S.-based sellers gave a $250 discount to the old iPad Air 2.
One shop even put up for sale the discontinued 128 GB iPad Air 2 model, selling it at $449.99 from $699. Whether or not Apple is really gearing up to make some space for the iPad Air 3, fans will have to wait and find out.
As for the specs and features, rumors suggest that the iPad Air 3 will be coming with a 7,000-series aluminum body. This means that the next-generation of the iPad Air will be thinner and lighter compared to its predecessors. An A10 chip and increased RAM count are also expected. It may also be coming with a 12-megapixel camera with True Tone flash.
3D Touch technology is also expected, as well as a Smart connector. Moreover, the iPad Air 3 is rumored to carry a 9.7-inch display with 2048 x 1535 pixel resolution. As of now, nothing is confirmed yet so it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt.
