iPad Pro Mini latest news: iPad Mini 5 to be announced at Apple's March 2017 event?
The iPad Pro Mini, which some refer to as the iPad Mini 5, has been anticipated for more than a year. Apple has yet to announce the coming of the tablet, but rumors are rife that the product will be released in March.
Apple fans are already familiar with the release schedule of the company and so they assume that more products will be launched in March. And since it is more than a year since the iPad Mini 4 got an update, a new version is highly possible to be introduced.
It was in 2012 when the Cupertino-based tech company started giving out new versions of the iPad Mini. However, their momentum stopped in 2015, leaving 2016 with no iPad to grace the scene.
In fact, Apple's March 2016 event only introduced the iPhone SE, the iPad Air Pro with 9.7-inch screen, Apple Watch straps and the iOS 9.3. The March event this year may finally announce the iPad Pro Mini or the iPad Mini 5. Enthusiasts believe that the tablet will most likely be called iPad Pro Mini since it will follow the iPad Pro series.
Rumors claim that the coming of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus give the company no reason to see why an iPad Mini update is necessary. The iPhone 7 Plus boasts a 5.5-inch screen while the current iPad Mini already has 7.9-inch screen. Tech analysts believe that if Apple plans to keep increasing the size of the handsets, then it will not have major differences with their tablet lines.
Nevertheless, the iPad Mini 5 is still expected to come out. Alleged specs include a Smart Connector for those who want to use a keyboard with the tablet. It is also possible that the rumored device will have more speakers. Other rumored specs include an A10 Fusion for the 32 GB variant, and a 2 GB of random-access memory (RAM). All these may need about $399 worth of investment.
