iPad Pro Release Date: Leaked Image of Case Boosts Hopes of Release in 2015
The iPad Pro, sometimes known as the iPad Air Pro, has been rumored for some years now but has not yet hit the market.
This year, more rumors on the device have been circulating online. Again they point towards Apple releasing it sometime in the Fall. A recent leak even showed an image of the case for the device with holes for speakers and a camera.
The speaker holes were positioned along the top and bottom. The leaked image indicated that the device would have four stereo speakers. As for the display, it has long been thought that the iPad Pro would come with either a 12.3 or 12.9-inch display.
As for the origins of the case, it appeared to have been leaked by a Chinese manufacturer. But there is no guarantee that the leak is solid as such manufacturers have been known to create cases based on renders that have leaked in the past.
In addition, the case also appeared to show that the device would come with a lightning port and possibly a USB Type C port.
Coming to the launch date for the iPad Pro, KGI Securities recently stated that it could land sometime in Spring this year or in the second quarter and that it would also feature a stylus. This means that the device would be similar to the Surface Pro 3 – a major deviation from what Steve Jobs had planned for it.
There is still no concrete information about the iPad Pro, given that the images of the case are just one among a long list of leaks about the device without it ever hitting the market.
In terms of specs, it appears that the iPad Pro will have the new chip being designed by Apple and could have 2 GB RAM and a back facing camera.
