iPhone 6 vs Moto X (2014) Review: Specs and Price Comparison - Similar Devices Face Off
The iPhone 6 and the Moto X made the list of the top smartphones released last year. A head-to-head comparison shows that these two devices have their own weaknesses and strengths despite their similarity.
Design
The iPhone 6 has a premium full metal build with rounded edges to give it an elegant look. It has a larger bezels around it screen. The Moto X, on the other hand, has a strong metal frame and curved glass panel on its front. Its back panel can be customized with several materials such as wood, bamboo, leather and plastic.
Display
The Moto X has a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 424 pixels per inch, while the iPhone 6 has a IPS LCD screen measuring 4.7 inches with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and a density of 326 pixels per inch. As for their screen to body ratio, the iPhone 6 has 65.8 percent while the Moto X has 73.1 percent.
Specs
The iPhone 6 has the Apple A8 chipset, coupled with a dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone CPU and PowerVR GX6450 GPU. As for the Moto X it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU.
Memory
The Moto X comes with 2 GB of RAM, while the iPhone 6 has 1 GB. Both devices do not have a memory card slot and as such external storage cannot be added.
Camera
The iPhone 6 has an 8 megapixel camera at its rear, while the Moto X has a 13 megapixel camera.
Price
The 16 GB version of the Moto X is priced at $99 with a two-year contract, while the 16 GB iPhone 6 costs $199 with a similar contract.
