A lot of praise has been given to the Marvel Netflix shows for being the more gritty and dark side to the Marvel Universe, and it looks like Marvel TV is expanding some more. Marvel is partnering up with Hulu to bring to life the TV adaptation of "The Runaways," and "Iron Fist" writer Tamara Becher has reportedly started her work for the series.

According to Screen Rant, the news comes from a (now deleted) Twitter post from Becher that was captioned, "New gig, day one."

As of now, there is no definite number of how many episodes she will write, but as time goes on, fans can assume that the network will hire more writers to join Becher in the writers' room. Speculations suggest that production for the show may begin in less than a year.

As of now, audiences have no idea on how to react to the hiring of Becher for the series. Her reputation largely rides on the success of Netflix's "Iron Fist" and fans would not know how to feel about "The Runaways" until that series premieres.

They should not worry too much, though, as Becher has worked on several shows as a script coordinator. She has been attached to series like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," and "Crash."

"The Runaways" follows the story of a group of children who find out that their parents have involvements with The Pride, a nefarious crime syndicate. The series was created in 2003 by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona and it has been cancelled and picked up over the years by various artists.

The series is said to be spearheaded by "Gossip Girl" creators Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz, so fans can expect a whole different show by the time "The Runaways" premieres on the small screen.

Will Becher deliver something that the fans will love? Check out her work when "Iron Fist" premieres on Netflix next year.
