'Iron Man 4' News: Robert Downey Jr. Confirms Film as a 'Go'
Robert Downey Jr. has been going back and forth with the next installation of "Iron Man" but he recently confirmed that it is a "go" for Marvel.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the actor was somehow hesitant to give in the details of the film. When Ellen pinned him if he is going to use the iconic "Iron Man" suit once again, Downey said he is already negotiating with Marvel.
But, Ellen was not satisfied with this vague answer so she asked him again. Then, Downey Jr. finally said, "Ok. Yes."
With this confirmation, the audience has celebrated as well as the fans watching from home.
Previously, Downey Jr. said he would only make another "Iron Man" if Mel Gibson, known friend of Downey, would be the one directing the film.
Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment. Downey Jr. told E! News that Gibson is still working on a couple of projects. They are currently teaming up with another project that is not related to Marvel.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Telegraph, Downey Jr. he was asked about feelings for his mother who just passed away recently.
This is when Downey Jr. told the interviewer, "That's what's called a boundary."
Later that day, he posted on his official Facebook page. The message was a tribute to his mother.
The message reads: "When I strived to have the kind of success that eluded her, my own addiction repeatedly forbade it. In the summer of 2004, I was in bad shape. She called me out of the blue and I admitted everything. I don't remember what she sang. I haven't drank or used since.
"My ambition, tenacity, loyalty, moods, grandiosity, occasional passive aggression and my faith, that's all her." He ended his tribute saying, "If anyone out there has a mother and she's not perfect, please call her and say you love her anyway."
