'iZombie' season 3 air date, spoilers: Behind-the-scenes photos teased; new character joins

There's still a long way to go before "iZombie" will hit the small screen again for its third season. But the cast and crew are very generous in giving fans hints and teasers about what will come next.

Rose McIver, who plays lead character Liv Moore, posted several photos on her Twitter during the filming of "iZombie" season 3. In one of her photos, McIver is seen wearing ballerina tights and is surrounded by young ballerinas. Although she did not mention anything about it being related to the series, it seems like Liv will be eating a ballerina's brain.

Reports said that McIver previously mentioned something about a character eating a ballerina's brain. She hinted that it was going to be Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley). It's still to be known if McIver was just bluffing then.

The 28-year old actress also posted a photo of herself at a club with a DJ's equipment. Her co-star, Malcom Goodwin, who plays detective Clive Babineaux, also posted a photo of himself at the same club.

Rahul Kohli also gave its fans a behind-the-scene teaser. Kohli, who plays Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, posted an image on his Twitter account showing himself with Daran Norris as Johnny Frost and Goodwin. They are at a playground and though Kohli did not mention any more clues as to what they are doing, it seems like they are out investigating something.

But the most interesting teaser so far is the show's new set, which is the Fillmore Graves. McIver posted a wacky video of herself together with Goodwin and Kohli dancing around Vivian Stoll's (Andrea Savage) enterprise. Since Vivian will be appearing in the next season as the major big bad, fans will be seeing more of her company.

A new face will also be introduced in the show. Reports said that "Veronica Mars" alum Jason Dohring will be joining the cast to play the role of Chase Graves, Vivian's brother-in-law. Little is still known about his character for now but it's expected that more details will be revealed soon.

"iZombie" season 3 has no air date yet but it's most likely going to start airing new episodes sometime in 2017. Fans will have to stay tuned.
