Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) might end up having a divorce.

Previously in "Jane the Virgin," Jane and Michael finally got married. Although they had a big road block at the beginning of their marriage when Michael got shot, the two have already moved in their own houses, and they are smoothly handling married life.

But there are speculations that Jane and Michael will have a divorce, and Jane will end up single. This is because of the rumors suggesting that Dier will be leaving the show soon.

According to Travelers Today, Dier will be asking the producers to leave the show due to undisclosed reasons. If Dier leaves the show, it is anticipated that the exit of his character from the storyline will be through divorcing Jane and leaving everyone completely.

This will surely break the hearts of Jane–Michael fans now that they have finally started their road to a happy ending.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman shared that Jane was always meant to end up with Michael and that she was always going to lose her virginity to him.

"I knew that she was going to wait until she got married and that she was going to get married to Michael, and that's who it would be with."

Meanwhile, Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) gets back with an ex-boyfriend that Jane won't be happy about.

Previously, Xo bumped into her ex, Bruce (Ricardo Chavira), when scouting for dance studio locations. The two quickly rekindled their love, and it was revealed that Bruce was already married when he started his relationship with Xo.

According to University Herald, Jane will not accept this so easily, and the issue will create conflict between her and Xo.

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 returns on Monday, Jan. 23, on The CW.
