Jeremy Lin has returned to practice following his hamstring injury that led to him being sidelined for 17 games. However, the Brooklyn Nets are yet to decide when to bring him back.

"I wanted to come back as early as I can obviously but we're taking a healthier approach in terms of making sure that this won't bother me again. Sometimes that takes a little bit longer," Lin revealed to ESPN. "I really appreciate this staff and what they've done to try to help me in terms of everything," he went on to say.

His performance at the practice, however, shows that he is doing much better with Nets coach Kenny Atkinson revealing to New York Post that the point guard "looked good" and "was out there making good passes and moving well."

Since Lin's absence, the Nets garnered 4–12 and fell on a six-game losing streak with an average margin of defeat at 19.3 points per game.

"[Lin's] presence is huge for us. He's been great when not playing, being supportive of the guys, but it's just different to be out there sweating with the guys and getting them together. You've seen the leadership ability. It's going to help us," Atkinson said.

Interestingly, despite the reports that Lin and the Nets are taking things slow, there are rumors going around that the point guard will take part as the team takes on the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center tomorrow.

The Nets said that it is probable for the "Linsanity" figure to make his comeback against the Rockets despite having only one practice and the Sunday workout canceled.

There is no way of knowing if this will happen as the Nets have also been adamant about making sure Lin makes a full recovery and that he does not return too early.

Lin has been making use of his time on the sidelines to watch the team and figure out what he will do the moment he returns.
