'Jessica Jones' season 2 air date, news & update: Luke Cage might appear in season 2
"Luke Cage" already has his own TV show; nevertheless, fans of Marvel's Netflix TV shows are wondering if he will reappear in "Jessica Jones" season 2. The former made his debut in the first season of "Jessica Jones," and they both instantly found a connection. Still, they eventually parted ways. Since then, the pair has not been seen together.
According to reports, Luke Cage, who is portrayed by Mike Colter, might be making an appearance in the second season of "Jessica Jones." To recap, Colter's Luke Cage and Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones got together in the first season. However, when Luke found out that Jessica had something to do with his late wife's death, he stayed away from the private detective.
Fan Sided pointed out that Jessica never appeared in Luke Cage season 1. However, her best friend Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) did a voiceover for a particular episode. Fans could hear Trish through her radio segment, talking about Luke and his activities. In the episode, she was telling the audience that Luke has been doing good deeds to help the community.
If the Netflix shows are similar to the comic books, then fans of the books know that the eventual husband and wife, Luke and Jessica, will find a way towards each other.
Fans of the superheroes are bound to see them together again. Luke and Jessica will eventually be teaming up in "The Defenders," which will be launched in late 2017. Aside from the two, Charlie Cox's "Daredevil" and Finn Jones' "Iron Fist" will be the other members of "The Defenders." If reports are true, an imminent threat will bring these superheroes together and unite them to fight a common enemy.
Netflix has yet to confirm the release date for "Jessica Jones" season 2.
