'Jupiter Ascending' Release Date Feb. 2015; 'Batman vs Superman' Trailer To Precede Movie
"Jupiter Ascending," the latest space adventure film from Warner Bros, is hitting the big screen on Feb. 6.
Reports say the first full length trailer for the much awaited "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie will precede the screening of the movie. The next instalment in the Superman franchise stars Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne aka Batman.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" wrapped up its principal photography late last year.
"Jupiter Ascending" is directed, written and produced by the siblings Lana Wachowski and Andrew Wachowski. The movie marks the return of the siblings to directing movies. They were also behind the blockbuster Matrix trilogy.
"Jupiter Ascending" is based on the original screenplay the duo wrote.
Last month, a trailer for "Jupiter Ascending" was released and it provided details about the cast and the plot of the movie. The trailer shows Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) being saved by Caine Wise (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered warrior who discovers that Jones is a reincarnation of a queen and destined to be the ruler of Earth.
The trailer also focused on their travel to other planets. Jones, with Wise's help, eventually assumes her role as queen as she inherits Earth. However, her journey and reign as the ruler of Earth is not trouble-free as she has to fend off the claim by Balem (Eddie Redmayne). Balem claims to hold the rights to Earth, claiming that his family was the one that seeded life to it.
Now he wants to harvest the people on Earth to produce the youth serum that will make him immortal.
