'Just Cause 3' multiplayer feature canceled: Avalanche Studios hires multiplayer mod creator
Many fans are disappointed by several reports emerging all over the Internet suggesting that the development of "Just Cause 3's" multiplayer mod has been canceled.
Apparently, the team behind the "Just Cause 3" multiplayer project has recently been hired by the game's developer, Avalanche Studios Sweden. According to reports, the talented modder Cameron Foote is now connected with Avalanche Studios. This could mean that people may have to wait for a very long time before the multiplayer mod gets finished as Foote's priorities has clearly changed.
He also said that the people who have helped him trying to finish the project could also not continue working on it because it everyone's busy schedule. Nevertheless, he assured fans that he will be working on more content in future Avalanche projects, which he declined to mention.
"Several months ago, I was approached with an offer I couldn't refuse: to join Avalanche Studios Sweden as a developer so that I could work on projects present and future," Foote revealed. "As part of Avalanche, I'll be able to bring many of the things you know and love from JC2-MP into future Avalanche experiences, while reaching heights that a mere mod couldn't facilitate."
"Unfortunately, due to time constraints, neither I or the rest of the team can actively pursue development on JC3-MP; our lives are just too busy to allow for it right now," he added.
Meanwhile, According to VG247, the rest of the Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod team will continue to stay active despite the departure of Foote. Many fans are still wondering up to this day why the game developer Avalanche Studios did not include the multiplayer feature when they launched the game late last year. Fans expected the company to include a multiplayer mod especially after the success of the multiplayer mod of the game's second installment.
There are speculations suggesting that part of Avalanche plans is to hire Foote so they can finally make an official multiplayer mode for the current "Just Cause" installment.
