Kanye West, Kim Kardashian divorce news: Rumors debunked by close friend

Rumors about the marital trouble between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have been heard through the grapevine, but those who are close to the couple claim that none of them are true.

Jonathan Cheban, one of Kim's trusted friends, recently spoke with E! News to refute the rumors that the reality show star is currently contemplating about filing for divorce against her hip-hop superstar husband.

"I just FaceTimed with Kim and Kanye and everyone's talking about some divorce rumors and I was laughing because I didn't hear that all day and I guess everybody else apparently here did and it's so funny to me because it's so not true," Jonathan said.

The close family friend and occasional guest on Kim and her family's reality shows also claimed that the couple is still in good spirits despite the divorce rumors.

Speculations about the marital troubles between the two popular Hollywood celebrities began after the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star struggled to recover after the traumatic event in Paris where she was robbed and gagged at gunpoint at her private apartment during the Paris Fashion Week.

Kanye, on the other hand, also suffered from his own emotional and physical exhaustion. He reportedly rushed himself to the UCLA Medical Center to be treated for weeklong exhaustion. The rapper is currently receiving treatments at home for severe paranoia and sleep deprivation.

Another source reportedly told Entertainment Tonight that the rumors about the split-up of North and Saint's superstar parents are simply not true. "Kim and Kanye are 100% together," the source reportedly told the publication. "Not only is the rumor that they are splitting not true, but so is the report of them living apart," the source added.

At the moment, the couple is reportedly taking a hiatus from their public engagements to rest with their children.
