Prince William and his pregnant wife Kate Middleton are expecting a baby girl in a couple of months and that they plan to name her Diana after his late mother, a news source has claimed.

Kate is currently seven months pregnant. After a bout of debilitating hyperemesis gravidarum, which is the most severe form of nausea and vomiting, which she had during the initial months of her pregnancy, the Duchess of Cambridge is back to her royal duties.

OK! Magazine claimed that Kate and her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, already know that they are having a daughter. The publication alleged that it had obtained an ultrasound report on Kate to back up its story. The report also claimed that the Buckingham Palace came to know about the gender of the child after Kate had her 21-week scan.

Meanwhile, the report that Kate and William are planning to name their daughter Diana has allegedly created a firestorm in the Palace as Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly against it and feels that it will not be the appropriate thing to do. This is mainly because Diana created a huge scandal by divorcing Prince Charles, and the royal family found it hard to recover from her subsequent death and rumors about her alleged affairs.

However, other news sources denied the OK! Magazine report, saying that Kate and William still do not know the gender of their child. E! Online reported that a source within Buckingham Palace said that since the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge still do not know the gender of their child, chances of anyone else discovering it are slim.

Kate had a number of royal engagements scheduled last month. Recently, she even spent time talking to a 17-year-old girl and referred to her baby as "it," which pointed towards her not knowing the baby's gender. She noted that the baby kept kicking all the time and that it was always moving inside her womb.

Others have taken to examining the size of Kate's baby bump, saying that it appears to be higher than when she was pregnant with George, which indicates that it could be a girl.
