Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Take baby North West to Israel to be Baptized
Leave it to Kim Kardashian West and husband Kanye West to baptize their first-born North West in the best place possible—none other than the Holy Land of Israel itself!
According to E!, the ceremony took place last Monday, April 13, at St. James Cathedral in the Armenian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.
"Kim Kardashian's daughter will be baptized and become a Christian officially and a member of the Armenian Church," said Archbishop Aris Shirvanian.
Kim's sister, Khloe stood as her niece's godmother, a very special role that will see her guiding and being there for the little girl all throughout her life. After the ceremony, Kim, Kanye and Khloe dined with the mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat.
The Israel stop came after the family's trip to Armenia this week.
While in Armenia, Kim was spotted carrying a cardboard cutout of her brother Rob's head as she walked the street of Yerevan on Sunday. It was no secret that there is bad blood between the siblings, when Rob publicly likened Kim to "the b**ch in Gone Girl" last month. Kim insisted (on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians") that their conflict is due to her being the only one in the family showing him tough love.
"He obviously has some kind of depression," Kim said in the same episode about her brother, who has allegedly gained 100 pounds over the last year, according to mother Kris. "He is the king of excuses ... I'm the only one that's really tough with him so he probably avoids me the most."
It was an event-filled trip to Armenia, where Kim and Khloe met up with their cousins named Kourtni, Kara and Krista, and Kanye threw a free concert that ended in a police shutdown after he jumped into a lake in the middle of a song.
