'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date, news, rumors: First episode to be released in 2017? Sora teams up with popular Marvel, Star Wars characters
Although Square Enix already announced that they are planning to release the next installment of the highly successful "Kingdom Hearts" game franchise, the Japanese game studio has rather became tight-lipped regarding the development of the video game. It is said that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be featuring new popular worlds outside of its own.
Fortunately, "Kingdom Hearts" game director and creator Tetsuya Nomura gave a bit of information about the ongoing development of "Kingdom Hearts 3." In his official Twitter page, Nomura claimed that the development of the new "Kingdom Hearts" title is going pretty well, and he also teased the fans about the new exciting worlds that they will see in the game.
Square Enix has been tight-lipped about further details of the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts 3." Although it had stopped giving updates about it, Nomura is confident of the progress of the game.
"The other game we are working on, Kingdom Hearts 3, is coming along steadily. There are new worlds in which you can run, jump... I'm very excited about moving Sora around in the wider space with his higher range of maneuverability," said Nomura.
Still, there is only a few news regarding the contents of "Kingdom Hearts 3." Square Enix has been mostly focused on their upcoming "Kingdom Hearts" special game that will be released in January 2017. Titled "Kingdom Hearts HD 11.8: Final Chapter Prologue," the game is expected to explain the future events that will transpire in "Kingdom Hearts 3," so the fans are advised to get the prologue chapter first.
On the other hand, Segment Next reported that Square Enix is planning a three-part episodic release of "Kingdom Hearts 3," and if the latest rumors are anything to go by, the first part of the game is expected to be out early 2017. Likewise, aside from the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is also rumored to be released in PC platform as well. To note, Square Enix has not yet confirmed any details regarding the game's release, so it is better not to give much credence to these early rumors.
As reported by Yibada, the main protagonist of the "Kingdom Hearts" series, Sora, is expected to reach the popular worlds from Marvel and Star Wars. It is also likely that Sora will meet some of the popular characters from these worlds and team up with them in order to accomplish his mission.
