Xbox One owners who have been waiting for "Kingdom Hearts 3" had the scare of their life when the logo for the Microsoft console was suddenly removed from the official website for the game.

Naturally, Xbox fans were horrified about the idea of the highly anticipated title sitting out an Xbox One release, but Square Enix has assured that there is nothing to worry about all along.

The developer revealed to ICXM that the Xbox One logo's disappearance from the "Kingdom Hearts 3" listing on the website was nothing but an error.

After learning of the issue, Square Enix was quick to fix it so fans should see the Xbox One logo on the website again, which can be accessed here.

The game developer also reaffirmed that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will not be a PlayStation 4 (PS4) exclusive and is definitely coming to the Xbox One, as what has been planned since the beginning.

What exclusively came out for the PS4 is "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue," a compilation that includes events that directly precedes "Kingdom Hearts 3."

According to Kotaku, the collection actually does a good job of setting up and giving a glimpse of the upcoming title, which Square Enix has always promised.

The site believes that "Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage," which was included in the compilation, is as close as fans can get to "Kingdom Hearts 3."

It looks like it pays off to pick up the title as it will be a while before the new "Kingdom Hearts" game hits the shelves. Square Enix is not even at the point where it is ready to show off the game.

As revealed by game director Tetsuya Nomura a couple of weeks back, "Kingdom Hearts" is still a long way off. "On one hand there are worlds that are pretty much finished, on the other hand there are worlds we still haven't even touched," he explained.

"Worlds we haven't announced yet tend to be further along in development, so we're at a stage where what we could show is what we can't show," he went on to say.
