'L.A. Noire Remastered' release rumors: Game to be released this summer?
Rumor has it that "L.A. Noire Remastered" arrives this summer, and it will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Dubbed as one of the previous generation's most ambitious games, "L.A. Noire" was a pioneer of facial motion capture technology. It is known for having one of the most expensive development costs in gaming history, as it created lifelike interactions between the characters.
According to reports, multiple sources claim that "L.A. Noire Remastered" is being developed. The game is expected to arrive in summer 2017, and it will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. A Twitter user named Yan2295 posted earlier this month about Rockstar's plan to do a remaster of the classic mystery game. DirectFeedGames, on the other hand, revealed that the title is being developed to have versions for the three top consoles in the market right now.
Since this is just a rumor, fans are advised to take the recent reports with a grain of salt. While one of the sources is a reliable Rockstar insider, the other source doesn't have a similar pedigree. The studio has yet to confirm such speculations, but with two rumors sprouting up in the same month, fans believe that the reports could be true.
Rockstar is currently busy with another project right now: "Red Dead Redemption 2." Rockstar North, on the other hand, is still releasing new content for "GTA Online." If the rumors are proven true, there's a possibility that the studio has a different team developing "L.A. Noire Remastered."
"L.A. Noire" debuted in May 2011 and has sold over six million copies on PlayStation 3 and Xbox One. The neo-noir detective game was rated Mature due to its strong language, sexual themes and scenes involving violence. This leads fans to doubt if it would ever arrive on Switch due to the hybrid hardware's "family friendly" orientation.
