The "Law & Order: SVU" season 18 episode that features a Donald Trump-like character has been given a new post-Election Day airdate.

According to The Futon Critic, the episode titled "Unstoppable" will now air on Wednesday, Nov. 16, just eight days after Election Day. It was originally scheduled to debut on Oct. 26.

"Unstoppable," which will become the eighth episode of the NBC police procedural's current season, features Emmy-nominated guest star Gary Cole as a Trump-like politician whose "campaign goes haywire when several women go public with damaging accusations." In a teaser for the upcoming episode, the character proudly says "I'm a handsome, charming millionaire and women throw themselves at me."

The controversial episode comes on the heels of the recently released 2005 audio tape in which GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump was heard making lewd comments about women while speaking to former "Access Hollywood" correspondent Billy Bush. The recording controversy caused a major backlash and fueled a wave of indignation, with people accusing Trump of being sexist and of perpetuating rape culture.

In the second presidential debate of the current election season, Trump tried to defend himself, saying that his comments were merely "locker room talk." Meanwhile, Bush, a host on NBC's "The Today Show," was suspended and later fired from his gig.

At least four women have come forward in the wake of the recording controversary and have accused Trump of sexual assault. Variety reports that while "Unstoppable" was finished weeks ago, NBC decided to reschedule the episode in the aftermath of the recording controversy. It has also reportedly undergone story adjustments.

While "Unstoppable" has a new airdate that is well past Election Day, Deadline says that it isn't ruling out another airdate change. Trump has, after all, already said that the upcoming election is "rigged" and NBC may choose to air the episode well after the fiasco that could occur if Trump loses.

"Law & Order: SVU" season 18 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
