'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' gameplay footage: 2 video trailers released at The Game Awards 2016
"Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is already being raved about even if it is too far away from being released. The title is even more anticipated when it graced The Game Awards 2016 with a trailer that took the gamers' breath away.
Most gamers say that the footage of "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" was impressive. It was during The Games Award 2016 when Nintendo announced two new gameplay trailers for the upcoming title, practically demonstrating how far along the franchise has evolved ever since.
The first footage features the main protagonist, Link, in an immense open world that players will explore. A village is seen in the video, which could be Link's hometown. The scene then shifts to the landscapes, battles, dark ruins and the enemies that the main character battles.
Epona, the famous horse of Link, is seen as a vital companion in the game as it is important for Link to use it for battle and for transportation. The sky city is also featured in the trailer, in which Link is seen heading toward the clouds.
The second trailer, on the other hand, shows the Nintendo Treehouse team playing a certain area in the game that the players have not seen before. The playtime shown was only four minutes long, but it already gave substantial information about the gameplay.
In the video, Link is seen with an entertainer named Kass, who helps him to reach a shrine deep into the woods. Of course, Link will face enemies along the way and he has to survive by means of finding resources and eating food. Link is also seen carrying his bow, spear and sword, which he uses to win battles. This, according to Daily Dot, is an uncommon feature of "The Legend of Zelda" franchise.
"Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has no release date yet, but it is expected to arrive in March 2017.
