A fictional version of the renowned theoretical physicist Albert Einstein will be making an appearance in the upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2.

The TV version of Einstein will cross paths with the Legends when the new season airs later this year, TVLine has learned. According to the outlet, the crew of the Waverider will meet a circa-1942 Einstein but will be "disillusioned to discover that the legendary scientist is a snarky, brusque skirt-chaser."

"Needless to say, he proves to be quite a handful when they attempt to save his life," the report concluded.

ComicBook.com noted that with the 1942 version of Einstein appearing in season 2 and the World War II setting in the season 1 finale, the Justice Society of America that was teased at the end of season 1 could very well be the World War II version of the Legends and not, as many assumed, their Earth-2 counterparts.

The outlet also noted that the multiverse is really more of The Flash's thing, and not the Legends'.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reported that the show has cast its new Vixen.

"The Originals" alum Maisie Richardson-Sellers will be taking on the role in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 after Megalyn Echikunwoke played a version of the superhero in "Arrow."

Richardson-Sellers is set to play Amaya Jiwe, aka Vixen, who will be boarding the Waverider and joining the Legends of Tomorrow in their quest.

In "Arrow" season 4, Echikunwoke played the role of Mari McCabe, a different version of Vixen. The actress also voices the character in the animated Arrowverse spin-off "Vixen." Because Echikunwoke was unable to reprise the role on "Legends of Tomorrow," the show had to cast a new actress for the role.

Amaya, the new Vixen in "Legends of Tomorrow," will be Mari McCabe's grandmother. Like her granddaughter, the older Vixen's powers come from the Tantu Totem, which enables her to harness the abilities of animals.

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 debuts Thursday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
