Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) and Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) contemplate some potentially major changes in their lives on the next episode of "Lethal Weapon."

The duo's investigations into the death of a high school football phenomenon draw them into the lucrative and quite possibly corrupt world of college recruiting. And while they're at it, they too will be inspired to contemplate on some potential changes in their lives.

After his wife, Trish Murtaugh (Keesha Sharp), quit her job in the previous episode when she was passed over for a promotion, Roger worried that they may not be able to make ends meet on a detective's salary. So, in the upcoming episode, he will seriously be contemplating on his own professional progress. Will he be aiming for a promotion to a higher-paying position? What could his decision mean to his partnership with Riggs?

In an earlier episode, when police psychologist Dr. Maureen Cahill (Jordana Brewster) told Riggs that she was passing him over to another psychologist, Riggs acted out and threatened to jump off the ledge until Cahill agreed to keep him. Will the threat of separation from Murtaugh make him do the same thing?

However, this time may be different since the official synopsis hints that Riggs will also be preoccupied with thoughts of a potentially major shift in his own personal life. Is he finally ready to move on and allow himself a committed relationship with DEA Agent Karen Palmer (Hilarie Burton)?

Meanwhile, this may not be the last that the viewers will see of Leo Getz (Thomas Lennon) after he took the liberty of putting Trish's photo alongside his own on the billboards and bus banners advertising his services. Like his cinematic counterpart, Leo has become and will undoubtedly continue being a thorn in Riggs and Murtaugh's sides, but the television counterpart will also be doing his own thing on his own terms.

"Thomas is such a comedic genius that I just knew he was going to bring something new to it," showrunner Matt Miller told Uproxx in a recent interview. "He has his own rhythms and energies, in the same way Clayne and Damon do when compared to those who came before them," he added.

"Lethal Weapon" season 1 episode 16 airs on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
