LG G Flex 2 Specs Review Rumors: Includes 'Ultimate Processor' Qualcomm Snapdragon 810
The rumor mill is on fire indicating that LG is set to unveil the LG G Flex 2, the latest model of its smartphone line with flexible display, at the upcoming CES 2015. The new LG flagship smartphone will have the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, considered as the "ultimate connected computing processor," according to the latest leaks surrounding the phone.
Press release text and pictures of the LG G Flex 2 were leaked recently indicating that the device will have a smaller 5.5-inch screen compared to its earlier version which had a 6-inch screen.
The earlier version of the G Flex was marketed by the company as a "record setter" when it rolled out in Asia in the latter half of 2013 and in the U.S. in the first half of 2014. LG said the device had a first-of-its-kind plastic OLED display manufactured especially for the phone. It also came with a self-healing back cover which gave it immunity from scratches.
The current leaks around the LG G Flex 2 indicate that the upcoming phone will have more of the same features including an improved plastic OLED display with an additional glass coating, making it 20 percent tougher. Also the self-healing coating at its back has been improved so that it now heals scratches within 10 seconds while the earlier G Flex took three minutes.
While shrinking the display of its latest smartphone, LG is improving the quality of its screen display. The LG G Flex 2 has a 1080p Full HD display -- a great improvement compared to the earlier 720p display.
With the 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 on board, the company could boost the amount of RAM up from the 2GB which the earlier model had.
Finally in terms of price, the website Android Geeks states the upcoming LG G Flex 2 could be priced at above $800.
