LG G Flex 2 vs LG G3 Specs, Price, Features Review: Comparison of LG Phones - Battle of Cousin Phones With Great Design
It is clear that LG hopes to win over customers by creating phones with great design. This is evident in both the LG G Flex 2 and its cousin the LG G3. These recently launched curved devices even score very high in terms of their specs.
Design
The LG G3 has slim bezels, and a faux metal body that can be easily mistaken for aluminium. However, much like its competitor the G Flex 2, it has a plastic build. The G Flex 2 in addition has a curved body and screen, and a special self healing coating on its back panel. This coating allows minor scratches to heal within 10 seconds, much faster than its predecessor the G Flex.
Display
On the LG G3 is an IPS LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, which gives it an incredibly sharp density of 538 pixels per inch. As for the G Flex 2 it has a curved 5.5-inch P-OLED screen with a resolution of1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 403 pixels per inch.
Platform
Both devices run the Android operating system. While the LG G3 comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the G Flex 2 has 5.0.1 Lollipop. As for specs, the LG G3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801chipset, Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, while the G Flex 2 has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU.
Memory
Both devices have memory card slots that can be used to add external storage of up to 128 GB. As for their RAM, both has similar 2 GB RAM on their 16 GB versions while their 32 GB versions have 3 GB RAM.
Price
The LG G3 is priced at $149 with a two-year contract while the G Flex 2 is recently rumored to have a full retail price of $680 when it is finally released in the market.
