LG G Flex 2 vs Nexus 6 Review: Specs Comparison - Google Phone Bigger And Has Better Bang For The Buck
In a head-on comparison between the new LG G Flex 2 and the older Nexus 6, the latter enjoys the advantages of having a bigger screen and better bang for the buck.
The G Flex 2 with its curved body designed for ergonomic use is undoubtedly a unique phone, but due to its curve, its size is reduced. This makes it a smaller phone compared to the Nexus 6. However, the G Flex 2 has a unique self-healing coating on its back which heals minor scratches in about 10 seconds.
As for their displays, the G Flex 2 has a 5.5-inch curved P-OLED capacitive screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch. Compared to this the Nexus 6 has a 6-inch AMOLED capacitive screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a pixel density of 493 pixels per inch.
Comparing their platforms, the recently launched G Flex 2 has a major advantage in the form of the latest Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, which comes along with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and an Adreno 430 GPU. The Nexus 6, on the other hand, comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, along with a quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. Both phones feature 3GB of RAM. However, the 16 GB version of the G Flex 2 has 2GB RAM.
A major advantage in the G Flex 2 is that it has a microSD slot which can be used to add external memory of up to 128 GB while the Nexus 6 doesn't have this slot.
The rear cameras of the two smartphones are both 13 megapixel versions while the front facing cameras are again similar at 2 megapixels.
Coming to price, the Nexus 6 can be got from any major carrier at $250 with a two-year contract, while the G Flex 2, which has not yet been released, could cost as much as the current LG G3.
