LG has expanded its G series of high-end Android devices to include the G Pad III 10.1 FHD LTE tablet. It comes with all the features of the G Pad III 8.0 that was released earlier this year but as the name suggests, it comes with LTE connectivity.

LG's new tablet features a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a pixel density of 221 pixels per inch. In terms of dimensions, it is 256.2 x 167.9 x 6.7 mm and weighs 510 grams.

The tablet has been optimized for entertainment and educational tasks. With Reader Mode, blue light is reduced to prevent eye fatigue when surfing the web or reading e-books. There is also a "Q" button on the side of the tablet that easily activates Reader Mode. Furthermore, the G Pad III 10.1 also has a Monitor Mode that enables the tablet to mirror the screen of a smartphone. Lastly, the Time Square feature transforms the tablet's screen into a digital frame, desk clock or tabletop calendar.

The LG G Pad III 10.1 is powered by an octa-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and the Adreno 405 graphics processing unit (GPU). It has 2 GB of random access memory (RAM) and 32 GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 2 TB via a microSD card.

Other notable features include 5-megapixel rear and front cameras, the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and a 6,000 mAh battery. The tablet also comes with a built-in kickstand that can be adjusted up to 70 degrees. In terms of connectivity, there is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, Global Positioning System (GPS) and a USB Type-C port.

Aside from the G Pad III 10.1, LG has announced plans to continue expanding their tablet lineup. The South Korean tech giant is set to release a version of the G Pad III 10.1 with a stylus pen sometime next year.

The G Pad III 10.1 has been released in South Korea for KRW 429,000 which is about $360. LG has yet to announce the tablet's availability in international markets.
