LG G3 vs Galaxy Note Edge Comparison: Specs and Features Review - Bent Tip Gives Advantage To Samsung Phone

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and the LG G3 have similar specs, but in terms of design the Note Edge outranks its competitor, all because of its bent tip which overhangs its right hand bezel.

When it comes to design, the Note Edge has a great advantage in its curved tip that operates independently from its main screen and displays notifications from apps. But the LG G3 turns out to be remarkably compact and can be held by one hand far more easily.

As for their back panels, both are made of plastic. However, the Note Edge has a faux leather finish while the LG G3 has a brushed metal finish. Another major advantage for the Note Edge is its S Pen stylus which greatly enhances its functionality.

As for their displays, the Note Edge has a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a pixel density of 524 pixels per inch, while the LG G3 has a 5.5-inch True HD-IPS + LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a pixel density of 534 pixels per inch.

Comparing their specs, the Note Edge has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a quad-core Krait 450 CPU clocked at 2.7 GHz and the Adreno 420 GPU. The LG G3 has the Qualcomm MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801 chipset, and a quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.5 GHz, with the Adreno 330 GPU. As for RAM, the 32 GB versions of both devices come with 3GB, while the LG G3 with 16GB of onboard storage has 2 GB of RAM. Both also have microSD slots, which means their external storage can be expanded up to 128 GB.

In terms of their cameras, the LG G3 has a 13 megapixel version while the Note Edge has a 16 megapixel shooter.

Finally coming to price, the LG G3 costs $600 without any contract and $149.99 to $199.99 with a standard two-year contract. The Note Edge is priced at $945 without a contract and $399 with a two-year contract.
