LG G4 Review: Specs and Features Overview of iPhone 6, Galaxy Note 4 Rival
The next flagship smartphone from LG is the G4 which is rumored to have killer features designed to take on the popular Galaxy Note 4 by Samsung.
First off, LG appears intent on overhauling its smartphone lineup and will only launch one major flagship phone this year. This, according to various online sources, is going to be the G4.
The company is also apparently set on abandoning its tablet lineup and concentrate instead on bringing out a phablet-sized device which will directly take on the Galaxy Note 4.
With the Note 4 and its bendable edge cousin the Galaxy Note Edge in heavy demand, LG appears intent on creating a similar range of devices. Specs of the LG G4, which have been leaked at regular intervals, showed that it will come with a 5.3-inch display. However, some sources doubt that LG will opt to have a smaller screen on the LG G4 when the G3 already has a 5.5-inch screen.
Other leaks noted that the G4, irrespective of screen size, will have QHD resolution and, much like its predecessor, will have very slim bezels.
The G4 is also expected to feature the soon-to-be released Snapdragon 810 chipset, which is also rumored to be on the Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A. The latter is due for release either this month or next.
As for the rest of its specs, the G4 is bound to incorporate 4GB of RAM if it has the Snapdragon 810 chipset, which is 64 bit compliant. It will likely be sold with 32GB and 64GB of on board storage.
To take on the stylus of the Note 4, the G4 is expected come with one of its own. Recent reports said it will be called the "G Pen." Several sources said LG has applied for a trademark of the "G Pen" name. The gadget will form part of the phone's "G Scrawl" software.
