LG G4 vs iPhone 6 Plus Specs, Features, Price Comparison: Power-Packed LG G4 Beats Rival

The iPhone 6 Plus announced Apple's arrival in the phablet market in a big way, but since then a number of other powerful devices including the LG G4 have overshadowed it in terms of specs and display quality. Here is a comparison between the iPhone 6 Plus and the LG G4.

Design

The design of the iPhone 6 Plus is very much like that of its smaller sibling, the iPhone 6. It has beautifully rounded edges and a premium aluminum unibody. As for the LG G4, it has a plastic body and a default back panel made from patterned polycarbonate which is available in three colors. It also offers a choice of optional leather back panels dyed in natural colors with a prominent stitch running down the middle. This stitch, along with the subtle curve of the device, allows for easy and secure handling.

Display

The iPhone 6 Plus has an IPS LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 401 pixels per inch. As for the LG G4, it has a similar IPS LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches but has much better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 538 pixels per inch.

Specs

Here the LG G4 has a definite advantage as it has a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 chipset, a hexa-core CPU with two Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz and an Adreno 418 GPU. As for the iPhone 6 Plus, it has an Apple A8 chipset, a dual core Cyclone CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU.

Memory

The LG G4 has a major advantage here as it has a slot which allows for the addition of up to 128 GB of external storage. The iPhone 6 Plus does not have one. As for RAM, the LG G4 has 3GB while the iPhone 6 Plus has 1 GB.

Camera

The 8 megapixel camera on the iPhone 6 Plus is pretty good and comes with optical image stabilization, but again the LG G4 has managed to surge ahead with its 16 megapixel camera which also has optical image stabilization.

Price

The 32 GB LG G4 could be priced at $199 with a two-year contract while the 16 GB iPhone 6 Plus costs $299 with a similar contract.
