LG G6 specs news, features, release date: LG G6 slated for February 2017 release
While Apple is gearing up for its iPhone 8 and Samsung for its Galaxy S8, LG has announced that they are ready to compete against the tech giants next year as they set to release the LG G6 by February 2017.
PC Advisor reported that it is very unlikely for LG to unveil its annual flagship upgrade earlier this year as it usually holds off any announcements until later in the year. While Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus in February 2017, the LG G6 is also expected to be released at the Mobile World Congress on Feb. 26, 2017.
One of the best advantages of LG compared to other high-end brands is its ability to produce quality handsets at a reasonable price. Many are expecting that the G6 will roughly peg at around $648, nearly the same price as the LG G5. However, reports said that there is a possibility the G6 will cost less compared to its predecessor.
Recently, consumers are reportedly confused as to whether they should buy the G5 or wait for the G6. Both smartphones offer great value and quality, however there are several reasons why many are choosing to wait for the updated version. The G6 is expected to come in a much sleeker design, better processor, improved graphics, more RAM and storage space. Best of all, the new G6 could come with an iris scanner and fast wireless charging to compete against the upcoming iPhone 8.
Related reports said that the new LG might bring some changes as it veers away from the modular approach since this no longer tickles the interest of many tech fans. Other rumors suggest that the new G6 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chip and Android Nougat 7.0.
Although people can just speculate at this point in time, one thing is certain: the new LG G6 will turn out to be a competitive product against the leading brands next year.
