LG V20 release date and specs updates: New LG phablet announced; global release in coming weeks?
LG has recently announced its latest smartphone entry in the market, the LG V20. According to reports, the device is going to be the first smartphone to be shipped out with Google's newest mobile operating system, the Android 7.0 Nougat. The highly anticipated handset is expected to be launched first in Korea late this month before it makes its way in the global market.
According to a report by BGR, it's a major accomplishment for LG as it gets the opportunity to release a device with a preinstalled Android Nougat. It's going to be interesting how the market will be in the following weeks as the new LG V20 goes head to head with the newly announced Apple's iPhone 7.
The new LG smartphone has a special dual screen technology, which could be a hit to so many tech fans. As people focus on the release of the new iPhone 7, the LG V20 certainly has all the tools to surprise everybody in the tech community. According to the publication, the device will come out carrying a 5.7-inch screen with IPS 2560 x 1440 Quantum Display. Its secondary screen also has the ability to provide an output of 2560 x 1440 resolutions.
The hybrid phablet is going to run on a Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm paired with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage capacity. LG has also decided to jump into the dual camera bandwagon as the V20 carries the dual lens primary snapper. The 16 MP camera features f/1.8 with optical image stabilization. On the other hand, the 8 MP secondary camera features af/2.4 wide-angle lens. The device also has a 5-megapixel f/1.9 wide-angle selfie shooter.
Meanwhile, LG has yet to provide concrete details regarding the release date of the V20 outside Korea. However, according to Pocket-Lint, the LG V10 successor is expected to be launched in the next few weeks across all markets around the globe.
