LG Watch Urbane vs Moto 360 Specs Comparison: Price, Features Review - A Visual Treat
The Moto 360 has been touted by many as the best smartwatch in the market, but the LG Watch Urbane which is due for release at the M.W.C. 2015 next month could end it dominance once and for all.
Design
Design is where the LG Watch Urbane outshines its competitor as it has a premium look and feel, thanks to its round full metal body which comes with either a polished silver or gold finish. Added to this is a leather strap that can be replaced with any other 22mm strap as per the user's choice. As for the Moto 360, it has a round watch face that is crafted from steel but has plastic on its rear. It also comes in three colors – black, silver and gold – and users can choose from several straps fashioned from either leather or metal.
Display
The Moto 360 has a bigger 1.56-inch LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 290 pixels and density of 205 pixels per inch. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. As for the LG Watch Urbane, it has a P-OLED screen measuring 1.3 inches with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and a density of 245 pixels per inch. The display on the Moto 360 has a slice shaved off at the bottom to accommodate the ambient light sensor.
Specs
The Moto 360 has a TI OMAP 3 chipset along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. As for the LG Watch Urbane, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at1.2GHz along with 4GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM.
Battery
As for their batteries, the LG Watch Urbane has a 410mAh version while the Moto 360 has a smaller 320mAh version.
Sensors
Both devices have a heart rate sensor. In addition, the LG Watch Urbane has a barometer, accelerometer, gyro and compass. The Moto 360 has a pedometer.
Price
The Moto 360 with a leather band costs $250 while the versions with the steel band have a minimum price of $330. When the pricing for the LG Watch urbane is announced, many expect that it will be costlier than the LG G Watch R, which is priced at $300.
