'Longmire' season 6 spoilers: Walt and Vic to wed?

"Longmire" season 6 is expected to finally see Walt (Robert Taylor) and Vic's (Katee Sackhoff) romance bloom, as it was previously rumored.

Although the show does not follow the books by Craig Johnson where it was based word for word, it is believed that one thing the show will follow is the sheriff and deputy becoming a couple.

However, "Longmire" season 6 will not get right into the romance should the show go that direction as it will have to deal with Vic's pregnancy storyline first.

She will figure out the baby daddy, and it appears that this journey will not be easy at all. As for Walt, he will also be quite preoccupied, thanks to the dealings of his pal Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips).

Despite this, the show has already planted seeds on the romance in the form of Vic recognizing the sexual tension between her and Walt in addition to her need to tell him that she is not dating anyone.

"Longmire" season 6 will be the final season of the hit Netflix series, which got its start on A&E. It was cancelled by the network after three seasons and was saved by the streaming company.

"We are grateful to Netflix for the opportunity to compose a closing chapter for these beloved characters that inspires lasting memories," executive producers Greer Shephard, Hunt Baldwin and John Coveny said in a press release.

"Most importantly, we're committed to delivering a dynamic and satisfying conclusion to our fans that rewards their long-time loyalty," they added.

Netflix's vice president for original content Cindy Holland shared the love back, saying that "We are proud to be the home of the Longmire series, as so many viewers over the last few seasons have watched and been captivated by Walt's journey."

Holland promises that "Longmire" season 6 will be a "satisfying conclusion to this revered series."

"Longmire" season 6 is expected to premiere around September next year.
